Who are you looking for?

We are looking for a few high-achieving undergraduates from any major with a demonstrated interest in startups, technology, and finance. Successful applicants in former cycles have come from a variety of backgrounds and no experience is required to join.

Graduate students, please contact us directly via the website’s contact form expressing why you’re interested in Midway and your background. If we think it’s a good fit, we’ll connect with you individually.

When do you recruit?

We recruit a new class at the beginning of the fall and spring quarters.

How many people are you looking for?

We typically look for between 6-8 new members per cycle, depending on current needs.

What sort of time commitment should I expect?

We expect a commitment of 5-7 hours per week. 

What does the application process consist of?

There are three rounds, with invite only after the first round. The first round consists of a written application. The second round is an interview that includes both a behavioral and case study component. The third and final round is an interview that includes a more traditional consulting case to assess your ability to think critically on the spot.

The behavioral is pretty standard—we’re just trying to get to know you and your interests in VC/tech/finance/consulting. For the case study, we’ll e-mail you materials in advance on a startup of our choosing and ask you to walk us through your assessment of its business during the interview.
